SeaClear
SeaClear — Search, Identification and Collection of Marine Litter with Autonomous Robots — is a Horizon 2020 funded project that aims to solve,
with the help of robots and artificial intelligence, one of the most important environmental problems: ocean litter.
The SeaClear 1.0 project is a four-year project with a budget of 5 million €, running from January 1st, 2020 to December 31st, 2023 by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
The SeaClear 2.0 is granted 9 million €, and will continue and extend the work for the next four years to develop a holistic approach to address the full cycle of marine litter.
We are building the first robots to clean the litter from the ocean floor. Read and view more.
Doctoral Researcher
- Developed a data-driven model for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) with real-time online learning
- Created a simulation platform for control testing of AUVs
- Performed hardware tests, e.g., grabbing bottles in various currents, in Marseilles and Hamburg port
