REHYB

REHYB — Rehabilitation Based on Hybrid Neuroprosthesis — will develop a hybrid upper-limb exoskeleton that uses its own sensing and novel actuation capabilities for generating the digital twin of the user. The ReHyb project founded from the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme of the European Union with 7 million €, envisions a new cognitive rehabilitation system based on a digital user model obtained through a novel communication capability of multi-modal sensing and actuation techniques from exoskeleton and functional electrical stimulation (FES).

Our mission is to develop an upper-limb exoskeleton to allow elderly to maintain a healthy and active living environment. Read and view more.

Doctoral Researcher

  • Detected the abnormal movements through Deep Neural Networks using sensors, e.g., EMG
  • Studied the safe control of human muscles by FES to achieve functional movements
